LIVERPOOL BUCCANEERS 38 LANCASTER 10
Liverpool
moved above Bolton to mid table with an excellent second half display
against plucky Lancaster. Held 8-6 at the break, two tries immediately
after the restart to winger Alex Asher and Tom Ledson put the Buccaneers
in control.
Debutant prop Paul Borg made a favourable impression as the hosts gained
dominance in an eight try display, centre Neil Kilshaw and Stuart Bailey
getting them off to a great start with touchdowns inside the opening ten
minutes. Lancaster hit back through Andy Garnet and were well served by
speedy centre Ben Burns who looked dangerous throughout. In the second
half Asher and Ledson both picked up a brace of tries, Mike McPartland
and Matt Jeffrey also crossing. Lancasters other scorer was loose
forward Darren Clarke.
