LANCASTER 7 Carlisle Centurions 52

Carlisle maintained their 100% record at the top of the North West conference with a 52-7 win over Lancaster in front of 150 supporters.

Jamie Watson, fresh from his call up to the England Lionhearts squad, opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, the first of his hat trick.

There was nothing in the next 15 minutes, the best spell of the game, as Lancaster pulled back two points. But a penalty for holding down gave the Centurions the field position to send Martin Stalker in. Tries followed from
Andy Sawyers, Alan McDermott and Watson as Carlisle built up a 22-7 half time lead. Andy Garnett and Neil Walker had contributed the Lancaster points.

Further tries in the second half to Craig Stalker, Watson again, Scotland rep James McKay, Dale Semple and Steven Brough handed Carlisle a 52-7 victory.
